Who is Margaret Cameron?

How do I begin to tell you about Miss Margaret?

Wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, artist, cook - you name it, she probably qualifies. To keep up with her, one needs high powered running shoes. Margaret Cameron photographDon't let her hear someone has a birthday, is ill or otherwise incapacitated because she will run to the kitchen and make all the pots and pans fly until she has a cake, pudding or a meal fit for the Queen of England. About the only thing she doesn't do is put gas in the car. Thankfully her husband Campbell tries to keep an eye on the gas gauge in her car so that he doesn't receive that phone call saying, "Campbell, the car died as I went around this turn."

When it comes to art in all its various forms, Margaret has two rules. If it moves, "make a picture." If it is stationary, it needs some paint. Margaret has the innate ability to take a bunch of 'nothing' and make something gorgeous out of it. Wood scraps from neighboring work shops soon become part of life-sized Santa mannequin perhaps, or some other work of art. It's true that someone's trash is a gold mine to her.

In life, there is very little she won't try. She has been a saleslady, before it was fashionable for women to work in that field. She showed the men how to do it.

She's done store window displays, served as women's section editor at small newspapers in Kentucky and Tennessee, owned and operated a cosmetology academy, sang in choirs and female barbershop quartets. Oh, and a television celebrity of sorts too. She did Western Boot commercials on a Nashville Morning Show for two years.

You have been up too long! Maybe in the blackberry wine too. I can't believe my bio! That must be someone else. It makes me feel tired to read it.

Included in her myriad of art work, are painted furniture pieces for high-end department stores and catalogs, set design for major musical productions at church, painted murals of all sorts. You should see her up on 18 foot scaffolding painting a mural on a ceiling! None of her walls at home are typical painted walls. Murals and special treatments are the norm for her.

Her artwork is displayed everywhere it seems. It has been displayed in numerous art galleries, coffee shops, art shows and homes of all price ranges including multi-million dollar mansions

That's Margaret Cameron. No one can match her. Just a beautiful Southern Lady and she is sooooo afraid that some one will think that SHE wrote this. She didn't. She is much to humble to tute her own horn. The quote to the left was her email to me after seeing this narrative for the first time.
